Stability analyses and inclination test Nexus cable-laying vessel

Nevesbu was involved in the design of Van Oord’s cable-laying vessel Nexus from the very beginning. In particular damage stability requirements to ensure the safety of the large number of people on board, in combination with the long and low aft deck, proved to be a challenge in the design phase. The final inclination test was complicated by the significant amount of mission system equipment already on board. The project was completed with preparation of onboard stability documentation, fully approved by Lloyd’s Register.
