Project Engineer

You are the linchpin
A design only becomes a success when every detail is right. As a Project Engineer, you play a central role in our maritime projects. You are the linchpin, connecting technology, planning, and communication.
You will work in multidisciplinary project teams on assignments in various markets, such as the modernisation of the Royal Netherlands Navy’s Walrus-class submarines, the integration of a new 127mm naval gun on HNLMS Evertsen, the life extension of the Indonesian vessel KRI Usman Harun, or the design of FPSOs. You coordinate the design and engineering process for these projects, engage in technical discussions with the client, and ensure that agreements and specifications are clearly understood by all stakeholders involved.
You monitor and identify interfaces between disciplines, organise design reviews, and oversee the proper execution of Interdisciplinary Checks (IDCs). You draw up and manage the document list, ensuring all documentation remains complete and up to date. At the same time, you keep a close eye on budgets and timelines, making adjustments where necessary to meet project deadlines. With your experience and oversight, you bring technical solutions, schedules, and budgets together to deliver a successful outcome.
You will join the Project Management team within Nevesbu (part of Iv), a team of around seven colleagues. In this role, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and freedom to organise your work and collaboration in a smart and efficient way. Within each project, you report to the Project Manager and work closely with engineers, specialists, and project controllers across the company. Within the Project Management department, you will report to the Manager of Projects.
