Nevesbu b.v. produced a design for the multi-functional oceanic survey vessel 'M.S. Zirfaea' (LxWxD: 63m x 11.5m x 3.85m) for the Dutch government. The vessel was designed to meet requirements such as the performance of depth measurements for fairways and areas where sand and gravel are extracted, the taking of samples of sea bottom and water, the inspection of pipelines, the localisation and identification of shipwrecks and lost cargoes and use as an oil slick prevention vessel. The vessel remains a fully operational platform up to a maximum significant wave height of 1.8m and a wave period of 6.0 s.
