Introduction
The larger projects for Nevesbu are usually large conversions of naval ships or offshore vessels. The input of Nevesbu focuses on the ship as a complete system. All disciplines play a role. For the project in Malaysia (currently up to date) is integrated with the ship designed by a host of new devices and systems including their controls and all electrical wiring on board by a team of 16 persons. For major contracts in the offshore Nevesbu does the constructive design of the interface with anchoring systems. In a team of 4 to 8 persons, there’s approximately 1500 tons of new steel defined. The Naval Architecture department consists of approximately 10 permanent employees.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Elaborate technical requirements to design of hull and building-up of ships;
- Elaborate technical requirements to design foundations and structures in or to ships;
- Independently elaborating and produce in 3D or 2D CAD of construction plans;
- Content matching of his work to that of any other disciplines;
- Organizing own work and that of any of its assigned employees;
- Maintaining and developing the developments in his field and his competences.
Key requirements
- A completed MTS training in naval architecture with proven experience in designing and constructing ships;
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience;
- Good command of AutoCAD program (latest version);
- Experience with the software Office and Pias;
- Command of English and Dutch language spoken and written.
